Wacky Acting Spoiled it

Good story but the Wacky over acting spoiled it for me.
When will Australian movies learn to get the tone of the film right for a change?

As soon as I saw the retarded brother utter his first lines in the film, I knew I was in for a long evening.

I hope you're not referring to Kate Winslet, Liam Hemsworth, and Judy Davis. Those three are phenomenal actors.

I agree, Australian films do tend to overdo it with the wacky characters.

Have you spent much time around Aussies? They tend to have over-the-top personalities, are loud and rowdy and like to drink a lot, and they can be wacky at times.

I think it was excellent!!

It made for a quirky/romantic/drama piece that I could watch over and over.
