After I watched it my only comment was WHAT THE F--k!
After reading all the comments and the hundreds of questions it seems films like this is made so everyone has an opinion as to what the hell happened!
My opinion is I don't mind watching a film when I have to deduct the meaning by myself but when there are so many questions it doesn't come under the heading of entertainment anymore!
Hey, don't kill me it's just one person's opinion.
I agree. It was trying to do too many things in a small space of time after the very slow start to the movie. I didn't enjoy it at all. I thought the ending was predictable.
Yeah, I thought the first ten minutes with the kids just talking among themselves was better than much of the rest. At the desert cabin it tried to change into a slasher movie, and then into a SF movie.
Still, for a limited budget I thought it did well.
Agree, although I think Raven's explanation of its failure is more accurate. It has all been done before, and is totally uninspired. We saw the "twists" a mile away, and we get the feeling some director and some writer are trying to be "smart," and congratulating themselves over their lack of inspiration. It's sad that movie makers are so jealous of true talent and inspiration that they look for scripts like this.
I think what sold it to the actors was that every scene was overdramatized, and let actors "strut" their stuff, even if they looked like hams. And in the end, it's ridiculous, because they try too hard to be "hip", and when you try too hard to be "hip", that's when your friends laugh at you behind your back for being a dork.
Any way, I think that explains why we were uninspired by this movie.
