shareThere is an alien-like face between the branches in the clip that Damon shows Nic. The earlier scene ( Nic's earth memories) doesn't have the alien face. Obviously, the face was implanted by Damon.
Damon wants Nic to think that he has made contact with an EBE and hence he is held in some remote facility for further testing.
