..for dumping her after she constantly made public on stage about their personal lives together in such excruciating detail. Who would stay with someone who just had to tell everything, seemingly EVERYTHING to total strangers in a bar?

Sorry, Donna Stern, as cute as you may be, no one with any self-respect or sense of privacy would stick around for you for longer thn a lay. That Max would, especially after he found out about her abortion-to-be in the most mortifying manner possible, says more about neediness issues/desperate need for a girlfriend on Max's part.

Just as well for the movie they had him cheating on her, otherwise the sympathy would have been on him, not her.

I've met girls like her. Run Forrest run. I didn't really get the critical praise here. I used to agree with critics. But now...less and less. Although most seem to be hipster bloggers that probably relate to the central character.
