I think the portrayal of a twenty-something who didn't have her life together and winds up in an unfortunate situation and chooses the option many young women in her situation choose had been long overdue. I loved Juno but just thought it was nowhere as realistic as Obvious Child. I am grateful to the producers for showing a common situation that society has long tried to deny.

I totally agree with you. I just wish the nutjobs would stop saying this is "propaganda" showing "how fun" it is to get an abortion.

Of course these nutjobs think anything that disagrees with them is propaganda. I thought it was refreshing to see a movie where they talk about abortion actually go through with it instead of changing their minds at the last second.

Very real and quite humorous.
