'Remember when we made sex to each other?'
I don't understand why it's cutesy or funny to speak that way.

shareI blame Tina Fey. She started it.
shareShe actually says "did sex to each other." Which makes sense.

The joke was that it was awkward and stupid sounding.
--14 years on imdb, what a nerd--
You have sex with someone; you don't do sex to someone.
"Did sex to each other" does not make sense either. You have sex with someone; you don't do sex to someone.
I made that correction mentally, too. And I think it's a perfectly fine way of speaking about it.
shareSeriously, though, this is a character in a movie speaking. It's a slightly immature joke, which the writer puts in her mouth to show that she's a slightly immature character. Does that make sense now?
I used to want to change the world. Now I just want to leave the room with a little dignity.
