'Remember when we made sex to each other?'

I don't understand why it's cutesy or funny to speak that way.

I blame Tina Fey. She started it.

She actually says "did sex to each other." Which makes sense.

The joke was that it was awkward and stupid sounding.

You have sex with someone; you don't do sex to someone.

Well that depends. Maybe you should get out more...;-)

I used to want to change the world. Now I just want to leave the room with a little dignity.

"Did sex to each other" does not make sense either. You have sex with someone; you don't do sex to someone.

I don't recall anyone in this movie being an English Major. So why are you expecting them to use proper wording?

Sex is a noun that actually describes an action. An action that you can "do" to another person. That's probably why some people have said the phrase "do me".

I made that correction mentally, too. And I think it's a perfectly fine way of speaking about it.

Seriously, though, this is a character in a movie speaking. It's a slightly immature joke, which the writer puts in her mouth to show that she's a slightly immature character. Does that make sense now?
