What does the title refer to?

Not to coin a phrase, but I feel like I missed something obvious.

I think it is referencing the Paul Simon song. Not that it makes much more sense when I check up on the lyrics to that song.

I think it refers to the destructive lifestyle she was living up until a few revelations that she had. An accidental pregnancy was bound to happen. That's what I got from it at least

It's the Paul Simon song they dance to on the night of their date (& plays later in the movie).

reply

I think it refers to the fact that it's obviously a child that she has murdered.

In the Paul Simon song, he repeats the question, "Why deny the obvious child?" The answer to the question in the movie is that she does not want the child. In other words, by having an abortion, she is denying the obvious child.

reply

She is the obvious child.

reply

You all are idiots. It's because the character is an obvious child who isn't mature enough to be a mother.

reply

And also there is a song called that which is used in the film.

This a case of two birds one stone.

You're BOTH right. (except you when you said everyone was an idiot).
