I wanted to like it,..

I just didn't. I normally love independent movies that are very real but I didn't care for this. I thought the humor was too forced and Donna was a bitch.

Donna was an immature person that had to make a mature decision.

The humor was very forced, which is why the jokes that missed missed so badly. I won't say it didn't make me laugh, but there were just more times that I didn't. There was a lot of whiny hipster/Girls humor and that doesn't resonate with most people.

I have to agree.

The themes were interesting and films like this are important, but the jokes just fell flat and it was hard to feel sorry for Donna because she was such a flake...and kind of pathetic.

It was also hard to buy a lot of what was going on and seemed like they were trying too hard to sell the 'funny women' thing to the audience. Women can be funny too yes? We are just as filthy as guys yes?

It was all too forced.

It was good that there was an attempt to wake America out of its stupor on this issue, but it could have been executed better.
