Helena Bonham Carter

Helena Bonham Carter is very pretty still although she looks like she gained some weight for the role. As ever a great actress.

She might not have gained it for the role; she could be one of those women who eat!
What is she thinking?

reply

I applaud her even more if this is real weight from enjoying the odd cake or two, good for her. If this is fake weight like Renee Zellweger in Bridget Jones diary then why can't the directors get a larger actress?

reply

I approve. She was wasting away some time back; she was just skin and bone in 'Corpse Bride'. Now there's more to love.

Most women eat.

How else do you think over 60% of people in the UK got to be overweight, and over 20% obese?

Still, I find it odd when people make threads about things like this. It's not as if she's gone and put on all of John Goodman's lost fat.

reply

It actually looked like she was pregnant. She was thinner when she was getting ready to go out to dinner with her boss. At the very end she was much larger. Anyway, she is so gorgeous. She has been one of my faves for a long time.

Pretty gorgeous! Never fades. Great performance as always. :)

Speaking of fading, she looks like she had the Michael Jackson skin lightening treatment to look white.

Ooooooooh, kay! The English Ms. Bonham Carter has been a white person ever since she came to my attention playing Helen Schlegel in Howards End 1992.

Do you know something we don't?

Could be that the filmmakers put more pale and gaunt makeup on her as Margot in London. So that she would look more relaxed and rejuvenated as Margot in Turks & Caicos.

The comparison between the differences in her mental states would be more stark using different makeup.

No two persons ever watch the same movie.
