Why did the Winona character go off with the short lady accountant?
shareThey both lived in New Jersey. They were simply going back home. It can be understood that Winona's character being abused by the men managed to find a sympathetic ear in the accountant who may have hated her employers for her own reasons or for their wrong practices. So they worked out their plan to sell them out to the CIA in exchange for their cut of the payoff. They each received 3 million dollars. Art the end of the movie they were simply returning home to New Jersey to begin their new lives as rich independent women.
