We'ere supposed to believe they had a relationship - but while shes perhaps in her lare 40s he must be in his 60s?!
Try 70's? He looks like death warmed-over! I mean, I LOVED his character, but sex-appeal-wise? Please! Sure, Helena's gained a few pounds (for the role perhaps?) and years (who can stop that?)...but let's remember that in the mid 1980's, she played Rupert Graves' slightly older, VERY pretty sister in "A Room With a View"! HE is still seen as robust and viable (which is ok) as some guy who can hit on her, while poor Winona (same generation as Helena), must content herself with old men? And don't EVEN get me started on Nighy and Rachel Weisz! Come ON!
Don't get me wrong: I think old people have every right to have sex! They should just not expect it from people younger and more attractive than themselves. The world is a cruel place, after all. If the roles were reversed, gender-wise, I doubt this would even be a topic!
But apparently, in BBC dramas as well as in Hollywood, younger women get the short end of the flaccid stick every time, while old, wrinkly men get to choose mates 1/4 their age!
Don't get me wrong...

This is hysterical. 1/4 of his age? Nighy was 64 and Bonham Carter 47 in 2014, so that makes her just about 3/4s of his age, for those doing the math. At 47, Hollywood does not consider you a trophy any longer.
Winona Ryder was not there to "content herself" with old men; there was rather a bit more going on, and being content was not part of it.
