I wonder what countertops they will put in?????

 Just kidding.... we all know they will be quartz; I don't even think Christina knows other types exist. Quartz, always quartz

They've done concrete and unpolished marble. But those were definitely exceptions.

You flip to what the buyer will want....right now it's quartz. You don't put in your own personal choice!

Before they discovered quartz, they almost exclusively used granite. Quartz is a much better choice as one can sell its easy-care aspect, and it comes in a variety of colors and styles.

Yeah, I'm not saying it's a bad choice... just that it's all I ever see them do. White quartz. Seems like waste to even film any discussion about it since it's a given that no matter what else they do to a house.... white quartz countertops will be going in. 

Well, in some cases they go with full slab marble, but as always, it's dependent on the area and the clientele. I just saw the one where they went in with their friend Pete for a $Million+ house and they knew that all the finishes had to be completely high end for the area. They ended up spending over $150K overall and went over schedule, but ended up with a profit of about $130K after splitting it in half with Pete, so it looks like they knew what they were talking about.

I'm so ugly...that's ok 'cause so are you.

They have a deal with a sponsor that sells quartz tops.

LOL, that would be a smart thing to do. It would be a great deal for everyone concerned.

In fact, I heard (though it might just be BS) that they now have their own contracting business, which would be smart because they'd still be hiring the same contractors, but they'd be making some profit out of it.

In earlier seasons all they ever did was use granite. Personally I can't stand the look of granite so I'm always glad when they pick another material (especially quartz).
