They use it so much. IMHO it's the most boring material in the world. In one episode they put it in on the diagonal, and it was a little more interesting, but mostly it's just blah! It does give a clean look at first, but that's about it.

I think they (and other shows too) use a lot of it because it's cheap. The price was mentioned on a recent show and it seemed low, certainly lower than the other options they were considering. As a New Yorker I'd never put that in my house. I see enough of it in the actual subway!
shareIt has a cold feel to me. I'm from SoCal and love a summery cool feel to a home, but not a ' cold' look you can see in a subway. I work in a school, and same thing, I don't want to see school tiles and colors at home.
