Could HGTV recast the show?

I don't want to catch any hate for this, but seeing as it's a successful show, could they hire a new couple to take over? If Tarek & Christina's marriage is falling apart, they could start a new season with a different couple if they don't want to continue working together. I know this show has been based in Los Angeles, so they could find another couple in LA, or even one from a different city.

HGTV has many other flip shows, such as Desert Flip, Vintage Flip, Flipping the Heartland, Five Day Flip, and those haven't been as successful. They could easily give a different couple a chance to continue the legacy that Tarek & Christina started. From a money making perspective, it seems like it would be a waste for HGTV to cancel a successful series.

At the end of the day, are people watching to see the transformation of neglected properties or just to watch Tarek & Christina? I watch it to see the transformation of properties.

Many times on gameshows and talkshows, the hosts are recasted after old ones quit. I don't see why it should be any different for this.

I noticed they started a new show with a brother and sister duo....she was ok..the brother. once in a while he would smile and his face would light up...but...other times he would talk and he was really wooden,..

well it was the first episode.....you have an interesting idea...they have 2 differnt love or listed shows....

If Tarek wants to still do it, he could just have his own show. Otherwise the show will just die and they'll be replaced by another HGTV show.

This is very much Pat and Gina Neely redux.

Recast it with Amy Schumer and Dane Cook.

Or keep Tarek and Christina and instead of him instantly saying "Yes dear" to everything she wants to do regardless of cost, he can say something like "You're always spending money! Our entire marriage all you did was spend money! These cabinets are fine, they are staying! Shut up!" or something like that. Things he may want to say but can't. It irks me that she just gets everything she wants when she smiles. "New landscaping project for $150,000? Guess we have to do it!" "New marble in the kitchen and bathrooms that's imported from Italy and costs more than most people make in 10 years? Why not?!" I know they are selling to clientele that are a little more upper crust than where I live but geez, all she has to do it smile and she gets the world on a platter.

there's already several different renovation shows that feature real-life couples doing the flips, there's Fixer Upper and Masters of Flip to name a few...so there's no need to recast Flip or Flop...just end this and replace it with a new show.
