Just started season 3 viewing....

Never saw this when it was on TV, probably because I didn’t have a TV!
Still don’t, but have Netflix, so found it on that randomly and thought I’d give it a go because it had a couple of actors in it that I recognised.
Have enjoyed watching it, but now it’s on Season 3 I have found that the character of Carl has become quite annoying.
Before, he was quite endearing; all the characters are very well defined and unique, with strong characteristics. Before, Carl was a quite down at heel average guy, helpful, reserved sometimes, playful etc.
Carl’s characterisation now seems a lot more negative and arsey in a way to me; he is more argumentative, has a closed face most of the time with screwed up eyes. His whole persona seems different.
Potentially this is the character’s natural development....he’s pissed off more, (which shows so much in his face!)? Challenged more in his private and work life? Everyone seems to be picking on him more because of his bad looks and ears? I don’t know....but I’m definitely not liking his character as much as I did.
Hopefully it’s not because Russell Tovey was feeling arsey himself and they all just went along with it because the series was ending anyway.
