The Job Lot Season 3 Episode 2 Discussion

I've ripped on this show since the beginning, but have always found it charming in a way where it tries to be the anti-Office, while still trying to mimic The Office.

This was easily the best episode in quite some time. Compared to other comedies, it still only gets a 6.5/10, but for me it was genuinely funny, introduced a new character in Ash that has potential, and it just felt well-written. From Ash's spot-on assessment of Angela to Natalie making up a gambling addiction to Paul pretending he was a slave, there were so many highlights tonight, again something not usually the case.

Enjoyed this one as much as the first. Same amount of laughs for me and again a couple of stand out lines especially when Natalie's lies started getting out of hand.

I'm a little disappointed that there's swearing in the third series as I don't recall the eff word in the previous two series but I could be wrong. It certainly seemed out of place for Natalie in the first episode but you knew that Karl was going to use it when talking about sperm donating. I thought he would have gone down the route of "are you effing mental" rather than a straight eff off. Don't get me wrong, I'm no prude and swearing doesn't bother me in the slightest but sometimes it appears where it needn't be and that strikes me as lazy writing and I personally think this comedy is strong enough without it.

Let's face it, they're three series in so they must be doing something right.

Oh, I must be planning on posting more if I've created this .....

Where has the character "Graham pleck" gone?? Looks like they may have replaced him? There's a new guy in it.
Did george get a job at the end of season 2... i can't remember?

I don't think so, I guess he just didn't come back.

Adeel Akhtar as George hasn't been back yet either.

Oh yea!! I wondered where he was an all... the benefit cop! Hope the pair of them return soon.

Love "jo enrights" character, Angela !! Haha :D

George is a cop in the bbc drama 'River' with no beard! Took me a few seconds to register it was him at first. kinda weird to see him in a serious role but he's just as good as his comedic roles. I recommend 'River', anything with stellan Skarsgard is great in my opinion!
