Where did Al go?

I was wondering the same thing

Al died remember?

Al was dead when Jake said "see you in two minutes" in the scene where Jake found Al slumped to the side in his chair.

In the book they made it quite clear Al was dead at that point. They didn't do a great job in the series of conveying that.

Book Spoiler --> He committed suicide by ODing on his pain meds in the book.

Al taking an overdose of meds would have made sense in the context too. Seeing as how he probably thought Jake wasnt going through with saving JFK. And he was dying anyway.

But I remember watching the show and not being sure if he was really dead. And kept wondering if we'd see him again. Apparently not..

I thought they made it quite clear that Al died in the show before Jake set off to 1960.
