Question about final episode (spoilers)

How/why did the Secret Service so quickly determine that Jake was a hero and relay that to JFK? That seems absurdly fast considering he'd just been taken into custody and was in the middle of being interrogated.

Was there a rush to judgment because the hero/martyr storyline was nice and tidy?

It feels like a huge story point was glossed over.

I must have missed this part too because I was watching it while I was working and I have a tendency to miss things. Would like to know the answer as well.

I'm erasing you and I'm happy!

I think it was cleared up so quickly because he confronted the FBI agent that was interrogating him about their ignoring Oswalds letter to them, the order to burn the letter and going into detail about what he would say in court if he went on trial for the assassination attempt. The agent says he knew Jake didn't do it but didn't care. It makes me wonder if the FBI was setting him up as a Patsy like some believe Oswald was. Maybe we will have a clearer explanation in series 2.

I am assuming there will be a season 2 since this was listed as season 1. I'm not sure where they will go from here though. I have not read the book; is this how it ended?

reply

They can't do a season 2. This was the book. However, if they want, they can do another story with different characters using the same time travel premise. But this story is over.

When you're the president, and you want to know something, for example, who just saved your life, I'll bet that information travels pretty fast.
