in the ep that aired on march 15 jack-the-mountie had a flashlight.
um... how could that be?
isn't that anachronistic? (i'm no history buff so i may be totally wrong)

I haven't watched that episode yet, but the flashlight was invented in 1896.
And WCTH is supposed to be set in 1910...or '11 by the end of S1. Given that criminal justice & military personnel would've been outfitted with the 'latest tech', even then, it's not surprising Mountie Jack had a flashlight, even if most people in Coal Valley didn't.
shareWell tonight the inspector had what appeared to be a period flash light. The only real issue is that it was probably way too bright for the batteries they had at the time.
