Episode three. Anyone know the location of this prison mentioned?

Whether a real prison or made up, I'm assuming it's located in Medicine Hat. That's a town in Alberta, Canada, SE of Calgary.

isn't that right around where they film heartland......

and also if anyone remembers north of 60...it was also done up around there...

it was (north of 60) supposed to be about 100 km from Yellowknife NWT...but I heard that it was being filmed outside of Calgary...so.....maybe they are all using each other's sets

Coal Valley is/was a real place, NW of Calgary. Google Maps somewhat will show you where it is if you ask nicely. Medicine Hat is an extant city in southern Alberta.
