What did you think of Season 2 so far (apart from the bad makeup, hair clothes and messed up Canadian references)?
It held my interest with so many new characters - the ex-boss of the coal mine becoming the mayor, the new sawmill owner, town name change, Jack wanting his brother to join him, Abigail wanting her ex-daughter-in-law to join her, the fake pastor, a motorcycle!!!

I'm looking forward to tonight's episode. It should answer a lot of questions for me and follow up on the points you made on your post, pd3145.
I really want to see if we get a resolution with the tension between Jack and Elizabeth from E2 and what was the reason for Jack's sudden change? Elizabeth gave him so much hope with that kiss she gave him, something he was chasing after during most of the episode. I think understand Jack's point of contention and tonight's episode should show me if I was wrong or not.
But I love how the writers had Jack immediately begin the construction of the church/school building upon his return to Hope Valley. I find that so touching, because it will be his second gift from the heart that he gives Elizabeth to show how true he is in his intent to court her and how he sees a future only with her. I just adore that!!
I am very interested to find out what Abigail finds out about Clara, not so much what's happening between Bill and his wife (?). I can take or leave that story. Abigail has a lot going on in her life really. I mean a gunfight just about broke out in her diner!
We'll have to follow up after tonight's 2-hour episode. I think there's going to be a lot to talk about!!
Yeah the plots are rather interesting & I do wonder what's going to happen to some of the characters. Dear old Mr Gowan will probably mess with the logger baron's ideas/plans, by becoming mayor.
The confrontation between Abigail & Bill's wife, and/or Bill & his wife will be interesting to see as well. (Although it could be like Jack & his ex fiancée, Rosemary, last season & how they weren't engaged anymore, even though she thought they still were. lol)
Seems like the story lines are cheesier and the acting worse. I mean it is almost laughable at times. That Rosemary character is extremely irritating and her acting is so bad! Getting tired of Elizabeth doing that scrunched mouth. It was cute in Season 1. I always enjoy seeing Elizabeth and that Mountie together though.
Lori Loughlin is a great actress though. She shines in every scene.
Now that they are out of Hamilton and Elizabeth's vapid sisters, it's getting better.
