I think he's a good guy that they're attempting to make us think is a villain. They keep giving us reasons to believe he's up to no good, but I think he may redeem himself. We'll have to wait and see.

I have gone back and forth regarding his character. I was thinking that the Sargent who told Bill that the case is closed might be dirty. Where are the notes? Where is the de briefing etc. Realizing there is an odd mix of North West Mounted Police and good old American lore at work here, police usually treat their own with some decency?
Anyway, just my couple of cents.
