New Year's episode

I so love, love, love?? this show and all things Janette Oke. But, this is the New Year's episode taking place in Canada and the school children NOT wearing winter coats, some no coats at all. The women during the day just shawls....what gives? Absolutely no snow and Jack and Becky rowing on the lake....no ice? Please explain the Hallmark Channel gives us all these Christmas movies in December with "fake" snow guess they couldn't share any with WCTH. ?

I've noticed that we have yet to see snow, and this is in Canada. That doesn't make sense at all.

Global warming?

Global warming?

LOL, too soon at least. Seriously, I grew up a short distance from Canada, in Michigan, and been there many times in the winter. There was definitely snow. So glad I now live in SC.

LOL To be honest, yeah they obviously filmed this all probably back in October or November 2015, plus with how warm its been this Fall & Winter so far (even in Canada) 'NYE 1913/14 (or whenever) in Hope Valley' seems unseasonably warm & snow free, I definitely agree. lol 

reply

Agree give us a good blizzard episode lol. Just not realistic in that sense at all.

reply

I so agree with you. It bothered me so much and what schools are in session after Christmas until New Years?

reply

A way to keep the kids busy I guess. lol. Realistically I don't know how much time schools used to take off back in the day? Maybe they did try to make use of as many days available to them as possible back then? lol

reply

There probably should be a little snow, but if HV is set close to Vancouver, they don't have much snow typically, especially compared with most of Canada.
