The writing differences between season 1 and 2

My 7-year old and I were delighted to watch season 1 together. We giggled every time Elizabeth misunderstood something Jack said, we rejoiced every time a child overcame a hurdle, and our hearts were warmed watching Jack and Elizabeth learn to trust each other. And Elizabeth cooking? Funny!

Season 2 has none of the warmth and humor we loved in season 1.

In addition, the conflicts are cringe-worthy instead of something we hope to see resolved in an honorable way.

We saw Elizabeth grow and mature in season 1, but in season 2 she is as immature and fickle as her sisters. She has regressed to the point we no longer like her.

And as slow as the romance was between Jack and Elizabeth was as fast as it was between Julie and Tom and also Clara and Luke.

We are very sad to see the show go downhill.

They're really trying to drag out the Jack and Charles thing, sometimes it looks like Jack and Liz have lost interest in each other, Charles seems to love her but I think it is more of a competition for him now and to get into her family.

Julie is still being the rich girl who likes the idea of being with the bad boy, she also seems to think that her trust fund will be with her for life no matter how she behaves.

Rosemary is as annoying as all hell.

The story about the fake Pastor was started too easily and wrapped up very quickly and also very conveniently it was practically hilarious, the actual Pastor coming in was just as cliche and obvious. They also didn't question him at all even though he looked like he had just come from driving cattle.

It's like they think making it a common soap opera will make it more popular.

Sometimes a movie or tv show plot is so stupid that only the stupid can understand it.
