What is her secret to achieving that tiny tiny waist? Seriously for her age i cant think of another actress with that tiny of a waist. Did they wear corsets during that time on the show???

She seems to be slender all over. No hips.

Yes women still wore corsets during that period, although I don't know about frontier women. They didn't lose them till the 20s.

If she was any more slender, her head would look too big for her body.

I have no idea what Erin Krakow's secret is, but I am pretty sure the actresses do wear corsets. I watched some behind the scenes interviews, and I'm pretty sure they address that part of costuming.

Erin also did some modeling, she's still young, and she's somewhat new to the acting profession as an actor with six years experience in mainstream television. This is rare for someone who has the lead in a very popular TV series.
