I'd assumed this would be a bit of a beat-em-up and it definitely was not. It's either a throwback to cold-war movies of fifty years ago (cold blooded, cynical and no gratuitous action filled final act) or the kind of thing that only turns up as TV series these days. I think I'll have to watch it again to really appreciate it but really, by the standard of films today, quite brave to even make it.

Did you also watch it on channel 4 in the uk?
It definitely reminds me of the Harry Palmer movies

Yes I did. I wanted to catch it in the cinema but managed to miss it at the time. Also, The Ipcress File is one of my favourites and Billion Dollar Brain isn't bad either.
