Oops! the movie is based on a myth.
I think Besson maybe should have looked up the whole 10% brain myth on google or something before spending several years of his life making a movie about it.

shareI know this is old but recently re-watched the movie, the first time since discovering the boards and had to comment. I explained in more detail in another thread but I'll summarise...
The myth everyone likes to claim was debunked was derived from a misunderstanding... the claim we use only 10% of our brains is hogwash. However we do use about 10% of our brains at any given moment, not the same 10% and it depends what we're doing which parts are in use. This has been proven... you just need to get the statement right!
I just watched this 2 days ago on Blu Ray.. It's a well done movie and beautiful to look at and I especially cringe when Lucy takes those knives and buries them in that Asian dude's hands and it just looked so damn painful, but I'll give it to the man, he handled it like a champion, unless that was the shock setting in?? 😂
