^ I know, as soon as I read she was married to the director, I thought "that explains it." It seemed odd, in such a graphic movie, that they didn't show his physical "seduction" of her or her reaction to it. Didn't have to be SEX but at least a kiss or something - would have been very powerful characterization. They did sleep together, right? Bloom says something about "the things we do in your apartment"..

I thought it was made pretty clear in the film that the two were engaged in some sort of relationship, although perhaps only a physical one, not romantic. We didn't really need to see anything for confirmation, and the film didn't need it. The plot and characterizations were gripping enough. Unless a film is a romance or directly concerning a relationship, romance/intimacy rarely move the plot forward. It's more just a bit of titillating filler, and not even really that titillating.

Yeah I think it made it more effective that they didnt show anything. Lou implied that there was some weird stuff going down, which is much more powerful when you view it yourself rather than seeing a hollywood PG13 version.

Lol, I don't think that she is really hot. She is beautiful!

There's something wrong with Esther.
