I feel sorry for Igor falling for Anora

Igor is so desperate for a human connection that he falls for a toxic, antagonistic, aggressive, gold digger, prostitute who is fluent in sarcasm and has no positive traits.

At the end she persists in treating him like garbage, and he's desperate and sad fawning over her.

She followed the rich kid around professing their "true love", and gave him multiple chances even though he ran from her, even running to the same strip club they first met at and having sex with her biggest rival in life.

But she was willing to forgo all that because of their "LOVE".

Igor comes along and puts her on a pedestal.

I wonder how long Igor can suffer in a relationship with the toxic mess Anora before he offs himself.

He'll put all of his chips on her, she'll treat him like a dog, run back to the strip club and he'll eat a shot gun.

Exactly! This movie is society's way of saying that men should just put up with western women with huge body counts, entitled behavior, aggressive, loud mouth, and general narcissistic toxicity. First, they ruin the Joker message by turning him into a cuck and killing him, and then they release garbage like Anora to trick men into thinking it's normal to be a schmuck pushover loser who happily takes on women who are spoiled rotten STD ridden filth.

He was empathetic to her more than he was falling for her.

I didn't get the impression that they ended together.

And her behaviour didn't change towards him. She continued to be an ass to him, and he tried harder to fawn over her.
