A buddy of mine says there aren't decent comedies after 2012. This is right up his alley so I'll consider it debunked.

This is a pleasant watch. There's definitely too much funny writer influence to pump the comedic dialogue, but other than that, it's fun to have a movie with an antagonist who isn't an enemy. Best scene, when the guys are adding narration to Chilli's attempt at getting lucky.

Reviewers said "Anyone But You" was such a breath of fresh air because Hollywood isn't making many mid-budget movies. Big budget Disney movies & low budget straight-to-streaming are sucking up all the oxygen. So there aren't that many quality rom-coms being made. Same applies to slapstick stuff. I'll have to check it out.
