This film looks like a simply produced love story, but its actually a thriller with some genuinely surprising twists. I was ready to give this film a 7/10 until the last ten minutes. An incredible ending with 2 or 3 unpredictable surprises bumps this film up to an 8.

Politics aside, this is the type of plot that would been seen in a 1940s film noir or gangster movie.

It seems torn between being a teen drama and a political thriller.

I was gonna give it an 8/10, but then when I saw those contrived twists, I dropped my rating to a 7/10.
