This hurt my heart (spoilers?)
It was a good film, not the greatest. There were some pacing issues that can be easily overlooked because the story is good.
But damn, Omar took so much in, and had every reason to give up before he finally did
I hated Nadia. She was a great/complex character, but I hated her. And, at the same time, she had no choice. I understood her reasoning.
I hate everybody in this movie except Omar.
I'm sad now. I guess this movie has done its job.
I will not offer any critical analysis to this. I'll just let it live where it does live.
Now I'm in the mood for "City Of God"
