Stupid cop, stupid ending (spoilers)

So the cop goes to "the woman's" house knowing someone was missing. Hears sawing, and a call for help. Why the hell would she just go in and not at least call for backup. Once you enter, somewhere along the way you hear the sawing stop. So now someone may be on the move cause they heard you come in. Her stupidity got her killed.

Ending made NO sense at all!

"The Man" is lying in the hospital still fixed on the thought that "The Woman" was his wife. Even after all she put him through? He had not remembered enough of her to assume that. The Detective shows up with enough evidence to take him to jail, but post no officer outside his door, so The Woman is able to walk in and presumably kill The Man. He makes it easy for her by not calling out for help. He'd rather stare at her while she kills him. But i guess it made no difference because absolutely no one is in the hospital as she walks out? The whole scenario was odd.

Kate Bosworth looked horrible. She looked like a walking mummy. Is she anorexic? Geez....go eat something.

Movie had potential. Script was executed all wrong.
