An 8.4 rating, huh?
This is astroturfing at its finest. Who knew there were even 25 people involved in this movie?

sharethey even ripped off the evil dead by the sypnosis. cut off his own arm killed his gf and the chaine saw. it feels like ripping the movie off.
shareYou should watch the first one then where it is pretty much stated that they are inspired by Evil Dead.
sharethere is a difference between a rip off and an hommage. Both Død snø & Død snø 2 clearly pays a humoruos respectful nod and a smile to the genre, to Evil dead and also to Bruce Campell. It never claims to be an "original" movie, though it surely is original in its own way. And if I must say, maybe the best to come out of the humor/splatter genre since, well, Evil Dead.
shareIt's called an homage you dithering moron.
sharei am a rabid evil dead fan and this is pretty good.
its no evil dead but its still original and funny in its own right.

As am I. Loved this movie. Even if they 'ripped' off evil dead, I don't see a problem if it's actually good. I haven't had this much fun with a horror movie since the original. Joss Whedon & Sam Raimi watch out!! Btw, check out 'Life After Beth', it's not too bad and reminds me of Dead Alive!
As I see it, 'ripoff' is where you steal from another movie and pretend you didn't. 'Homage' is where you admit you stole it.
Dead Snow was very clearly in the homage category, and Dead Snow 2 was a worthy successor to the kind of movies Peter Jackson used to make before he went mainstream. AFAIR, one of the Dead Snow characters even wore a Braindead T-shirt.
That's right. I was replying to the guy farther up who was saying it's a ripoff. If you look at my posting farther up, I mention it's an 'Homage'. I definitely feel it's Homage, but some people can't tell the difference. Personally, I feel that even if it's a ripoff, if it's done well, then it can stand on it's own. Though generally, things that stand well on their own tip their hat at their inspiration.
shareYou probably meant "blithering."
shareanother unoriginal unfunny zombie *beep* of a movie. EVERYONE LOVES IT. modern movie audiences are blithering retards.
shareThe only blithering retards I see are the ones who slag off a movie they haven't even seen.
shareWell, the important thing is that you've found a way to feel smugly superior on the internet.
shareFor a zombie movie its pretty god damn original, and everyone loves it because its great. Need a hug?
shareHm, seems like many likes the film. Ten times the numbers you mentioned so far. I saw it at the premiere a couple of days ago, and it's hilarious!
shareI agree. I haven't had such a great laugh since I saw The Wolf of Wall Street back in the US this december.
Fear not the darkness, but welcome its embrace.
Wow it only has like 100 ratings. Every movie has a high rating when it first comes out. Obviously it's going to go down after more people see it.
shareNot every movie has a high amount of raters when it first comes out.
BIG STUDIO PICTURES FROM HOLLYWOOD often do, but they are the exception to the rule, not the norm.
"Død Snø 2" is NOT a big studio picture from Hollywood.
I liked it.
shareI thought the first one was ok, I put this on and was blown away by how funny it was. I may have had low expectations, but this movie was definitely worth seeing. Very well done entertaining from start to finish. The hospital scene shows that this isn't a typical zomedy movie. I'd give it a 7-8.

I give it an 8. I clapped my hand for the ending. Not the intimate part but for the loyal zombie. Never before i held respect for zombie even for the romantic zombie hero from "Warm Bodies".
shareGoody4 you are mad that it was once rated an 8.4 overall? I just gave it a 10 and it deserves it as it delivered on all it wanted to for this type of movie. It is a classic for horror/zombie/comedy and like some others have mentioned it is right up there with Shaun Of The Dead for sure.
shareI gave it a 10 as well. I wasn't expecting much - apart from Aliens, most sequels don't live up to the first one. This was way better than the first one, I laughed from beginning to end. At the end when the loyal zombie hobbled up I almost cracked a rib.
In my opinion it's better than Shaun of the Dead.
I thought the first one was OK. This one I found to be really funny. Absolutely disgusting, but hilarious! "Plunger leg zombie" appealed to my silly sense of humour.
