Solid film
Well acted, paced well, and fully engaging it's entire runtime.
shareHow did you see it? It comes out on Friday the 17th.
shareHubby and I got colds so we had to postpone seeing the movie. We were going to see it tomorrow night (Tuesday, 1/21) but I just looked for the times and it's no longer playing. Actually, it's no longer playing anywhere in this state (Nevada)!!
We looked it up and, apparently, it's been pulled from many theaters across the country with no explanation! This has got to be one of the strangest things ever.
Anyway, I preordered it from Amazon so at least I'm guaranteed to see it, I just don't know when because Amazon doesn't have a release date yet.
I wonder what the heck happened with this movie? Did you hear anything?
Paramount pulled the wide release last week due to a mix of poor performance in limited release and the Oscar nominations being delayed. If it gets some Oscar noms I would expect to see some sort of expansion, but as of now it's only playing in 150 theaters in the whole country.
shareThanks for the response. They hardly gave it a chance IMO.
shareAgreed. It was excellent.
I was 5 when it happened so I knew nothing really about it. Very well told and acted.
I finally was able to see it. Amazon has it for rent or purchase. I purchased it. You're absolutely right, it was fantastic! I'm just going to copy and paste what I wrote on another thread:
This movie was fantastic. It held my interest from start to finish. It told the story of the ABC news crew (sports crew) covering the 1972 Munich Olympics when 11 Israelis, athletes and coaches, were taken hostage by Palestinian terrorists. The acting was superb! It was very tense almost throughout and included original news reports and scenes of what actually occurred. All of the hostages were murdered. It was a horrific incident that unfolded in this film via the news crew covering it. This movie is definitely deserving of awards, including an Oscar!
