Don't be silly. He breaks an ankle and filming stops for months with cast/crew still on full pay. You hire a proper professional and if he dry bums himself you hire another one. Maybe if this was the 1940s.

As far as I'm aware, he did some of it. The most dangerous was handled by a professional, though.
