Pulp Fiction reference

The early scene where Harry visits little Eggsy and hands him the Kingsmen trinket reminded me strongly of a similar scene in Pulp Fiction where Christopher Walken's character visits Bruce Willis as a young boy to hand him the watch of his dead father. Anyone sensing the homage?

Indeed. The movie was chock-full of references and that could easily be indeed a homage.
