Why did the heads explode with purple and orange fireworks?
That was weird...and there was little blood in that scene...maybe to please the MPAA?

I thought it looked visually pleasing and interesting than seeing bloods splattering everywhere which you see in almost every movie. Tactfully done.
Just because you've got the emotional range of a teaspoon, doesn't mean we all have !
I would have preferred the gory version, some Saviniesque splatter would have been perfect.
I also didn't care for some of the CGI - the church stands out as particularly bad.
