1268 people killed by the signal?

The trivia page (spoilers section) says that 1268 people were killed during the attacks while the signal was broadcast. I don't know where that number comes from (the original graphic novel maybe?). But that number would be way off. Valentine's character gets the signal out (on and off) for at least a couple of minutes. Given the level of the violence the signal triggers (see the church) I think that millions of people would have been killed. Especially in the U.S. where everyone's got a gun. The bullets would have been flying in the first two seconds of the broadcast.

they mentioned that over a billion ppl have the SIM card...that church scene lasted like 4 minutes and nobody survived...so 1268 doesn't sound realistic, given that alot of Americans have guns...

Wasn't the massacre at the church some kind of test run for the signal? Where the signal only affected the people inside the church? I thought it was.

Yes, that's a ridiculous number for fools on the internet. My best guess is that it's what you see on screen, and even then, who knows how they came up with it. It's a stupid thing to have in the "trivia" section which should be displaying facts.

Remember the signal in the church stayed on until everyone but Hyde was dead. The world wide signal kept getting interrupted. While a lot of people in the US have guns they don't all have them on their person at all times.

Never mind the guns. You saw what Eggsy's mother was going to do to her own daughter with a butcher knife.

That's a good example. The signal didn't stay on long enough for he to actually kill her kid. It started she started breaking the door down and then she stopped and she had just broken through the door when it stopped for good. A lot of the scenes shown the baseball game, the beach, etc. Are places people wouldn't have guns so they just beat each other up for a couple of minutes

Yeah but think how many moms are with their babies all the time, and not behind locked doors. It wouldn't take 4 minutes for the moms to kill em. The deaths must have been in the millions on that alone.

Exactly! When you think about it, practically every single baby in the world could be dead! Practically every infant in the world would have someone looking after it, and it would only take seconds for an adult to kill it

We're not a sh!thole like England. A country that still has a monarchy doesn't deserve to exist. That entire island could disappear and the rest of the world wouldn't even notice for a few weeks.

Hell, the rest of the Kingsmen alone could've killed a good chunk of that.

Merlin specifically left the other Kingsmen out of the loop because he didn't know how many of them were compromised like Arthur.

Harry killed dozens of people in the church, so unless the rest of the Kingsmen were all in on the plan with Arthur and had their implants triggered, each of them were probably fighting with the same strength, agility, and techniques wherever they were.
