I was expecting "big" crime stories that were all over the news, OJ was one and they did that.
I see Katrina is the next season, which I'm not sure what that has to do with crime/murder. It reminds me more of a disaster that people had to rebuild from.
I think they're just trying to do ones that captured the country's attention. Plus, "murder" is so broad that it has the potential to be like "Oh a murder again?" So I think they're trying to change it up as much as they can. If they did another murder one, I think John Norman Collins would be an interesting one, but maybe not well-known enough, so they'd probably just go with a similar one like Ted Bundy.
