It is not whitewahing, the actor is also half Filipino, same as Cunanan was.

shareI agree that he is white passing, I didn't know he was half asian when I saw him first in Glee, and actually would never think he is half asian. But still, since he is half filipino then it isn't whitewashing. I haven't yet seen the show, but he seems ok in that role from what I've seen in the trailer.
