On the phone?
Do they ever reveal who the techie was talking to on the phone? I did assume it was the people who hired him, but why be secretive about it?

shareI believe there was an mistrust against Deacon since the last assignment where the Vatican ,perhaps sort of, blamed Deacon for the others death. Also he was drinking quite a lot and Gray was supposed to keep them informed.
shareI was thinking about that just moments ago. I think he talked to Amidion, the Relator General about Deacon and it must be because of mistrust or about Deacons drinking. Grey also asked if he would be paid in cash. And when deacon showed up he said "women eh?!
Why the ip cameras in the house they're staying in? Deacon drinks a lot and, well they have that on film.
Interesting point about the cameras in the house getting Deacon's drinking on camera. They of course will also have recorded Grey admitting to not being entirely truthful with 'The Congregation' to get the job.
As for the secretive phone calls. While Grey could have been calling Mark before Mark arrived at the cottage and then again when they left Mark there when he had the ear bleed wasn't there a scene at the church where Grey goes outside for a smoke and is on the phone while Mark is inside the church with Deacon? I presume he was on the phone to someone within 'The Congregation' but I'm not sure it was Mark.

My take on Gray is that they already knew it, but wanted to keep him on anyway (maybe because he's good?). Otherwise, Gray would have been more cautious around Mark I think.
