ending spoiler

first thought, it was a charming movie (yes I'm OLD!)

I thought about the very ending... maybe because he was using short term memory skills (without notes) was the point and Molly understood it.

Found the ending mildly depressing. He is figuring out he knew her. He still isn't remembering her.

Personally I was kind of happy with the ending. When movies end all tied up with bows and ribbons it's completely unrealistic. While I will admit parts of this story are, of course, unrealistic, that ending kind of makes it more real. In the real world there aren't always perfect endings, but that doesn't mean that they aren't still happy in their own way.

Well said, Laural7...real life doesn't always go the way we planned. I just saw the ending...again...and maybe I'm just a hopeful romantic (or just an idiot) but IMO, they let us think that maybe...just maybe...Gus might be getting a teeny tiny bit better. He finds Molly's ring and fixes it. When she shows up, he seems to remember the name Molly. Okay...if this is not the same day he finds the ring, then he remembered her name, right? Or at least remembers the name on the envelope. If it's the same day...well, there's nothing much we can say, because we know that the next morning, he starts all over and remembers that day and what happened from the morning on. Anyway...I'd like to think that, because Lucy told Molly that Gus, in fact, had the surgery two years ago, that maybe his body is mending a little and just maybe...well, you know. I'm glad she asks him to coffee...it leaves me hoping things work out. But that's me...

Good movie, but I thought it moved a little too slow.

I like ribbon and bow endings, especially with Hallmark. I wanted more of a resolution, bf and I were like "that's it!!!??" But overall, a nice movie.

Real life might not go as planned but it doesnt mean we should have to deal with that reality in movies.

Movies are supposed to be an escape and movies like this are supposed to have a good ending.

Ending sucked as much as the Chuck ending did.
