Why isn't Bret Iwan voicing Mickey?

I watched the first episode, and thought Mickey's voice sounds differently from how Bret Iwan usually voices him. Is there any particular reason or can you offer any theories as to why Chris Diamantopoulos is doing the voice? The only theory I can think is that they wanted a voice actor that sounded like Mickey in the old Disney cartoons.

This is my signature. Take it or leave it.

This article explains the reason:

The article says while Iwan is still the official voice actor for Mickey, the producers decided to have another person voice Mickey to fit his personality on the TV shorts.

Hmm, interesting to find out the reason for the different voice actor. I actually came over to IMDb to say that it's probably the worst Mickey Mouse voice I've ever heard come out of an Officially Licensed Disney product.

Personally I prefer this voice actor to Bret Iwan, it sounds classic compared to the more polished and boring mickey of the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse ETC. I thnk they should switch permanently. Same for Goofy and Minny.

Goofy and Minnie are voice by the same actors on both shows. Same people who have done so since around the late 80s. The difference in their performing really is the style of writing and voice directing.

I like the guy voicing Mickey on this show a lot. It would be interesting to hear him play the part in a more traditional story. I am not sure I have heard Bret Iwan yet. I only seen small parts of Clubhouse over the years. Most in the beginning when Wayne was still alive.

Wayne is a hard act to follow. He voiced Mickey longer than anyone. P!us in every type of media there is. He was able to actually perform not just do the voice.
