January / February release a bad sign?
Usually those are considered the "dump months." Anyone else think we should be worried?

shareDeadpool came out in February, and that turned out pretty good, sooooo.... Idk.
I have faith in this, though. The original director and the original cast returning are good signs, and that trailer was simply beautiful.
Not really, the 1st film came out in Feb 96,it's just the ticket after the excess of christmas and the new year
shareOk, good. You've counseled me. :)
shareIve seen some great films in those months. Whiplash, Selma...its reward season.
shareJanuary has traditionally always been a strong month for UK filmgoers as we tend to get a lot of the prestige fare that hit US cinemas in Nov/Dec so there isn't really that stigma here... irregardless, late Jan/early Feb is probably ideal as there isn't a lot of major blockbuster fare hitting screen till March/April so it should have plenty of room to stand out...also the first one came out Feb 96 so it kinda fits.
Drop your weapons! You're surrounded by armed bastards!!!!
That said its release surely means it doesn't qualify for Oscars or Baftas due to missing deadlines which is a great pity no matter to the film's quality
shareI thought there was wraparound for release vs nomination timetables?
I sort of hope there are not award winning performances here, ensemble work rarely generates/needs best actor/actress credits...
My God it's full of stars...
