There's only one other movie so how/why are they calling trainspotting a saga in their plot summary? I kind of burst out laughing at the idea of it anyway because like ??? how are they not dead yet? The entire idea of a second movie just seems ridiculous and it's not a saga...

How aren't they dead yet? Sickboy was never really addicted to heroin and could quit at anytime with ease; Begbie not only wasn't a junkie but he has been incarcerated for the last 20 years; Renton had moved away and remained sober for 20 years and started taking up jogging; Tommy did die and Spud is really the only junkie of the group left and from my understanding, he's in bad shape when the movie begins.
So if you wanna keep overanalyzing the sequel, maybe watch Trainspotting first.
