At the end in the brothel, Begbie says he killed a man because he was so angry about rent boy stealing the money.
I imagine at the end of t1 he got sent to prison straight away (no bail), and its highly unlikely he got away with killing someone in prison.
I haven't read either book, did he kill someone in the books?
In Porno he killed a guy (he was not in prison) by stabbing him then stabbed himself twice then left the weapon so he only got manslaughter.
I'm not sure why you'd think it "highly unlikely" he got away with killing someone in prison though...people get murdered in prison frequently.
