I'm from the US and can't wait...Can someone spoil the entire plot for me?
I'd just like a summary of the entire film...like a page from Wikipedia. I have to wait another month and a half to see it here and it's hard to wait.
shareRenton comes back to Edinburgh from Amsterdam in the midst of a divorce and health issues. Meets up with Sickboy and Spud (stops Spud during a suicide attempt) and go over old times. Sickboy is now running his aunt's (empty) pub and him Sickboy (and Sickboy's business partner/wouldbe girlfriend Veronica) come up with the plan to turn the pub into a brothel and seek a £100,000 grant to redevelop it (at which point Renton and Veronica become romantically involved too).
While all this is going on, Begbie escapes from prison. Meets up with his family, tries to teach his son how to be a criminal like him (even though his son would rather go to college) and then reconnects with Sickboy, at which point he ends up on the trail of Renton, seeking revenge for the betrayal in the first film.
There are cameos from Diane, Renton's dad and Mikey Forrester. Even Tommy sort of makes an appearance. Spud becomes a writer. There are plenty of references to the first film along the way too.
That's a partial spoiler. I won't spoil the ending for you though.
C'mon bro, help me out here. How'd it end? I love spoilers and youre not doing any harm at all by telling me the ending and character fates. I would definitely rather know now then in 2 months.

Begbie finally gets hold of Renton after setting up a meet using Veronica's phone where he throws Rents through a hole in the floor where he gets caught neck first on some loose wiring and starts hanging. Begbie then grabs his legs and starts pulling to try to kill him faster. Sickboy (who Begbie earlier knocked out) makes the save and releases Renton. Begbie gets back up but Spud hits him with a spare toilet that's hanging around as part of the refurbishment of the pub.
Renton, Sickboy and Spud then put Begbie in the boot (since you're American - trunk) of the car and leave it outside Edinburgh prison for Begbie to be recaptured.
Veronica rips off Sickboy and Renton for the £100k and goes back to her home country where she's reunited with her infant son.
Spud goes to visit his ex-girlfriend Gail and shows her the stories he's written about the adventures of him and his friends. She says that she can think of a name for it (I'm guessing Trainspotting is the suggestion).
Renton goes home to his dad and dances in his old bedroom to a remix of Iggy Pop's 'Lust for Life'.
