Lust for Lie

When Renton returns home...he's flicking through his albums..we see two Bowie albums 'The man who...' and 'Hunky Dory'...its looks like he chooses one of those...its RCA for sure...but it's not Bowie, it's Iggy's 'Lust for life',(of course)...so..why not show Iggy's 'Lust for Life' album? Seems really weird to me.

And when he finally plays it at the end..why use some indifferent remix? Instead of the original version that he's obviously playing?

I just wonder at the thinking behind this decision. Does the sound editor/director of the film still think Iggy is too..obscure?

if so, ain't that a wee bit condescending and disrespectful to the Ig? And why bother with the remix..?

This otherwise marred an otherwise groovy film for me..

It's a tribute to Bowie. He was instrumental in getting iggy pop and Louis reed in the original.
