Question about Turkish DVD edition

If some Turkish users bought the recently released Double DVD edition of the film, I have a question for them:

the package says that the film is subtitled in English, but is that the case of the special features as well? I'm really interested in the 2 hours making of.

Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

reply

Yes, the bonus disc has English subtitles, but no French, German, Spanish, etc.

reply

Thank you, you're the best!

reply

No problem. I think if you like the film, you will love the bonus disc and appreciate the true genius of Nuri Bilge Ceylan. His unique approach to directing and attention to the tiniest detail made me appreciate the film all the more.

I have an important question for you:

I've watched the film today and experienced the most annoying problem. After the hunting scene, the subtitle just went away and there was no way to bring it back. It was entirely missing for the rest of the movie, which unfortunately includes Aydin's incredible ending monologue. Does your disc have the same problem? If it doesn't, it means that mine is defective.

reply

Mine doesn't have any missing subs, sorry yours missed that part.

reply

Good for you; the person who sold me the DVD actually told me that other buyers contacted him saying that they had the same problem. I had already seen the movie by then and remembered the core of Aydin's final monologue, but it was still annoying to miss his wonderful final lines of dialogue. Luckily, the same person also offered me a translation.
